    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using Pedal Index ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

    2. User Accounts

    To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.

    3. Community Contributions

    The Platform allows users to contribute content including but not limited to:

    • Pedal Submissions: Users may submit new pedal entries for review. Submissions are subject to moderation before publication.
    • Reviews & Ratings: Users may post reviews of published pedals. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and free of abusive language.
    • Edit Suggestions: Users may propose corrections to existing pedal data. Suggestions are reviewed and applied at the discretion of our moderation team.
    • Pedal Requests: Users may request that missing pedals be added to the catalog.
    • Community Photos: Users may upload photos of pedals they own. Photos must be original or used with permission.

    4. Content Standards

    You agree not to post content that:

    • Is false, misleading, defamatory, or harassing
    • Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
    • Contains spam, advertising, or promotional material
    • Violates any applicable law or regulation
    • Contains malicious code or links

    5. Intellectual Property

    By submitting content to the Platform, you grant Pedal Index a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your contributions as part of the Platform. You retain ownership of your original content.

    Product names, logos, and brand identifiers referenced on the Platform are the property of their respective owners. Their use on this Platform is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement.

    6. Content Moderation

    We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any user-contributed content at our sole discretion. Reported content will be evaluated by our moderation team. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

    7. Builder Verification & Brand Claims

    Pedal builders may claim their brand profiles through our verification process. Verified builders receive additional privileges including the ability to respond to reviews and manage their pedal listings. We reserve the right to approve or deny claims at our discretion.

    8. Disclaimers

    The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-contributed content, including pedal specifications, reviews, or pricing information.

    9. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pedal Index shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to purchasing decisions made based on information found here.

    10. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

    11. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

    12. Governing Law

    These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
