New name. Same obsession.
We're now Pedal Index
Some of you may remember us as Pedal Advisor. That name helped explain what we were building, but as the platform evolved, we realized it no longer fit. We aren't here to advise you on what to buy — we're here to document, organize and celebrate the world of guitar effects.
Pedal Index is focused on boutique and independent guitar effects, where pedals are properly credited, builders are clearly identified, and reviews have context.
Not a shop. Not pay-to-rank. Not another "top 10" list.
Think of Pedal Index as an archive and index of effects, shaped by players and respected by builders. Commercial pedals will exist for reference and comparison, but boutique builders are the focus.
Same passion. Clearer direction.
Our Mission
Pedal Index was created to solve a simple problem: finding reliable, comprehensive information about boutique guitar pedals is hard. Scattered across forums, social media, and manufacturer websites, the knowledge about these incredible effects is fragmented and often incomplete.
We're building a central resource where players can discover new pedals, research their next purchase, and share their experiences. And we're doing it in partnership with the builders themselves, ensuring the information is accurate and up-to-date.
What We Believe
Community First
Built by pedal enthusiasts, for pedal enthusiasts. Every feature is shaped by the community's needs.
Builder Friendly
We work with builders, not over them. Brands can claim and manage their own pages.
Growing Documentation
We're working to document boutique pedals across categories with accurate specs, features, and community reviews.
